Teach Your Little One to Cook…on Us!
K. Parris loves the little ones! Teach your young person the basics of cooking with us! We provide basic culinary lessons for young people ages 4 – 13. Teach your young person innovative ways to create simple meals with healthy ingredients that they enjoy. Help them learn nutrition from a creative and fun perspective.

Kids Kan Kook – The Initiative
K. Parris Enterprises has always prided itself on being a company with a social purpose. It is with that said that we have begun our Kids Kan Kook Initiative. We start with young people between the ages of 16 and 20 and provide them with the basic culinary and hospitality skill sets. Youth employees are deemed part of the “K. Parris Kids Kan Kook” Initiative. Employment through this initiative is limited to one year, so that it may be used as a stepping stone for future employment. As the business expands, K. Parris will open it up so that cycled former youth may reapply for continuous employment.
The youth involved in the K. Parris “Kids Kan Kook” Initiative will go through an extensive training period that will include some of the following topics:
- Introduction to K. Parris Enterprises
- Mission of social purpose business
- Staffing and types of catering work
- Part time scheduling (event driven) and one year employment commitment
- Detailed review of kitchen norms and employee manual
- Detailed review of youth employee job descriptions
- Kitchen orientation
- Proper use and care of equipment
- Safety and sanitation
- Customer relations
- Food delivery to consumers and handling phone calls
- Service skills at events
