We at K. Parris have been craving coconut shrimp for a long time, but we wanted to do something different with ours. We tweaked it a little, added a bit of K. Parris flair, and present it to you to try with our Tamarind Mango Sauce. Enjoy!

Traditionally, we save the blowout food parties for the Super Bowl…but who’s to say that baseball isn’t deserving of some Bronx and Philly inspired eats! So with that in mind, this week, I will pay tribute to some classic game time foods…with, of course, an Island twist.

Even with the summer time making way for the fall breezes, cute boots, and trendy accessories, some of us (particularly me) are not yet quite ready to let go of the summer. In fact, as I write this, I refuse to put on panty hose with this skirt, my feet are stubbornly adorned in brown flip flops instead of more sensible loafers, and I’m dreaming about sugar cane skewers of grilled shrimp over a summer papaya salad. Sigh. Maybe I just need an island vacation.
